Bile, venom, sarcasm and artwork, spat, secreted, issued and drawn by Phillip M Jackson.
(Essentially just inane waffle. Don't take it seriously)
"The Apature Science Weighted Companion Cube is not capable of speech. In the event the Apature Science Weighted Companion Cube begins speaking, you are advised to disregard its advice."Freaking classic. I have the ending theme on my mp3 player.
I’m doing science and I’m still alive
Hmmph. That's the one thing I didn't like about Portal. We get the (false) message that science is nothing more than sick twisted nerds in lab coats torturing every living thing they get their hands on drilled into us 24/7 by our oh-so-compassionate media. One more video game with the same message really doesn't mean a whole lot, but the rest of the game was so brilliant, it stands out.Oh well, it just means more morons will come crawling to real scientists like me to tell them how to rebuild their little worlds, after they destroy them in pursuit of perfection.
Well, that's interesting. I was under Portal required a bit of a sense of humour to play. Well, I learn something new every day.I don't think Portal had any message in it at all, really--true or false--as the entire thing was hilariously exaggerated tongue-in-cheek. Which was why I loved it, to be honest. It didn't make me take it seriously. I mean, did you ever see the aperture science website? With the application test? So, lighten up and take yourself a little less seriously before you start calling more people morons and annoy someone. :p
I'll take myself less seriously when PETA and Earth First stop attacking us and burning down our homes.
But Valve isn't either of those organizations. I can't speak for anyone else, but I didn't feel myself growing suspicious of scientists while playing it.Very few people get offended looking at a clown with a hoop in his pants to make him look fat. The clown's purpose isn't to make fun of fat people, the clown's purpose is to make people laugh, because it's silly that someone could be so fat and still be jumping around so crazily. I would've thought there'd be a noticeable difference between agenda-loaded instigative messages and parody.
The bug with boobs made me crack up more than I thought it would. Thanks!
I WANT to play that game!!
